Interviews with members and supporters of California based pro-life group "The Genocide Awareness Project" on March 27th, 2006 at the university of oklahoma campus in norman, oklahoma. (this is an attempt at objective journalism. it is not propaganda for either side. i would have liked to get more pro-choice views, but there really weren't too many people of that persuasion there.)

All the way back to ancient Greece, there were women who knew how to do birth control and early-term abortion with herbal remedies. They were called "midwives" or "wise women." Their tradition was carried on for centuries, until, in the Middle Ages, the woman-hating Catholic priesthood slandered them as "witches," and burned half a million at the stake. Foster care is already low on funds and has too many unwanted children. If there would be 50 million extra homeless children in the system, foster care would ultimately fall apart. If abortian was illegal our foster care systsm wouldn't be able to sustain itself. Also these people over and over say that people can always adopt. Then why do so many pro-life people oppose the idea of gay couples adopting children? You can't have both points.

This person did say that very poorly. But in most cases (excluding rape cases) getting pregnant could be prevented. I think that the point about how people inlist for the army with full knowledge of the situation that they are put in is valid. To me it seems like this is the most radically inconsistent issue for the liberal side of the political arena. Being someone who believes in helping the less fortunate I would think that the left side would back the protection of a helpless person...

I just want to point out that not all people who are "pro life" are "pro war". That is quite a generalization, but a good point in some respect. Taking the opposite stance is equally hypocritical, I hope that you realize that. You may not think that it is murder, but surely you can use your critical thinking and realize why it is that some people feel that way. You made a good point about people who don't believe in killing people being consistant, but if they are then you should respect that.
