Watching this video again I see he did two things wrong.
1. He wasn't watching what he was cutting. I don't know about anyone else but I always watch sharp objects in motion that could easily cut off any part of me when I'm using them.
2. He wasn't using the guard correctly. These machines have a handle in place that you are supposed to use to cut EVERYTHING.
Though I'm not sure these machines could cut through bone, this guy deserved what he got for being stupid.
