Most probably you have entered, or perhaps re-entered, this scene after the release of the much anticipated Starcraft 2. In that case, especially if your interest lies in the multiplayer aspect of the game and its power as an electronic sport, you will by now have encountered tons of references to 'Brood War', the original Starcraft.

This article-and-video series is meant for You, and it will explain why and how SC2 stands on the shoulders of the giant that is its predecessor. It will show the legacy that is now enabling the current boom and uncover some of the things that lie ahead.

I read that people thought terran was a horrable, weak race until boxe played and show its true power.

I really liked the video and am not sure why it has so few views, probably because to find it you have to go to the video on your page and then hit the link at the end but who knows. Oh and as a fan of Starcraft second and Street Fighter first, I'll note that SF2 popularized competitive gaming long before SC1 ever came out : )
