Here's a little treat for Christmas: the loud rumblings of Lionel prewar toy train heaven snapping and popping its merry way down the tinplate track of yesteryear! And I mean "loud"! These old trains make a racket...but there is no sweeter melody to the ears of toy train fans! This is a 4x8 layout that I built in the style of an Art Deco department store display. Features the Pennsylvania Torpedo on the lower level, and a vintage 259E making loops on the top track. Featured in a past issue of Classic Toy Trains magazine. Hear that lonesome whistle blow! Merry Christmas!

Excellent little layout, one of the best on You-Tube!!! The marriage of the art-deco and the tinplate pre-war look is one made in heaven, and the glow of the toy-train lighting is mesmerising. Would like to see a few shots of the layout as a hole in the room where it is situated. But for the most part, it beats a basement full of a lot of the layouts I've seen on here. For tinplate lovers, it's got it right!!!
