There are forces at work trying to prevent Stephen Harper from winning the upcoming Federal Election. While I don't particularly want the Conservatives to have a majority, I do think that he is the most competent of all the party leaders.
Want to know why? WATCH MY NEW SHOW!
Don't agree with me? GO OUT AND VOTE AND PROVE ME WRONG!
I can't believe that Harper is even in the running when he's so recently denied there's a problem with our economy. Suddenly, his Minister of Finance disvovers 25 billion to buy bad mortgages. The best choice? The guy has had his head in the sand since he's been in office. He thought he'd pull a coup by declaring an election and it's backfired. I predict there will be another minority government with yet more tax dollars wasted on this futile exercise.

Mark, I can't support Liberals who brought you ADscam, an estimate the "GREEN SHAFT" is priced at $40 billion, income redistribution take from taxpayers return it to their party buddies. Even NDP called it foolish and if it scares them, it should terrify average Canadians. Layton would increase the size of government and the scope of the states interference with our lives. I don't agree with all Harper's decisions but he's the only real choice for PM in 2008. By the way ADIEU Stephane Dion.

Mark, I disagree with most of what you are saying here.
Harper and Dion are basically TRAITORS and should be treated accordingly. The BLOC are just a bunch of old Mulrooney Tories that have a new name... same agenda.
Here is my suggestions as to who apathetic Canadians should vote for in order actually stand a chance of gettin a government that has the best interest of Canada and Canadians as their primary focus.
FIRST CHOICE:
CANADIAN ACTION PARTY
NDP
GREEN
MARIJUANA
any INDEPENDENT !

I wouldn't go as far as saying the GREEN PARTY is a throw away vote...then you could say any vote that doesn't go to the leader is. People should be looking at their specific ridings anyway if they want to have some influence.
Besides, if the GREEN weren't around it wouldn't have pushed the Libs and NDP into making their platforms more environmentally friendly. So just by taking a percentage of the vote they've managed to shake things up in Ottawa. I say VOTE GREEN. PS. Rishchynski in Parkdale

Dion only won cause he served under Martin? Uh, dude, check your facts. He was a Chretien Liberal (which would make him as far as possible from being a Martin Liberal). Dion's goal in this election was simply to have Harper win another minority gov - which means he can't win a majority and his party need to turf him. As for the 'best leader for Canada' - look up the Court Challenges Program and let me know why the Cons ignored the 25th anniversary of the Charter of Rights.
