One of my favorite animals.

They have a strange kind of cuteness about them. When I was first approached about the project I told the producer, 'C'mon no one's going to warm to these creatures are they - they're ugly?!?' But after working with them in the flesh for a few weeks, I saw their personality and now I think they're cute even when they are dripping with mud!

Thanks for the encouragement. There's a lot to be done here! With such an unknown creature, it's really hard to build momentum needed to save them!

I have been a huge rhino fan all of my life (I am 47). I am so glad to see that they are taking action to save these creatures. FYI, the only place in the Western Hemesphere that has a Sumatran in captivity is the Cincinnatti Zoo. (She just gave birth to a baby in April, 2007). I haven't been there yet, but plan to go sometime this year.

I had the great honor and privilege of petting and feeding two of these beautiful Sumatran Rhinos at the Cincinnatti Zoo last August. These are very beautiful animals who must be preserved.
