Mrs.J: Ashley's plane crashed.
demi: wh- what?
Mrs. J: *she nods* it was on the news, and her mom called a few minutes ago.
nick: she- she didnt make it.
demi: what?
nick: *nods*
Mrs.J: they think something went wrong with the plane.
demi: no. *she sits down*
A minute later, she starts sobbing. Joe was by her side the whole time.
demi: but why? *she continues to tear up again*
Mrs.J: oh, honey, come here. *she hugs her*
demi: Wheres Kevin?
Mrs.J: in his room. You should go talk to him.
demi: okay. *she gets up and knocks on Kevin's door*
When there is no answer, she just goes in quietly and sees him looking out the window.
demi: *she closes the door behind her* Kevin?
kev: *he doesnt turn around and says nothing*
There is complete silence.
Then, Kevin shifts his weight on his other foot & crosses his arms.
kevin: *whispers* She died too young,
demi: yeah. She was a great friend.
Kevin sighed and turned around and so Demi got up and went toward him
kevin: *he wiped away a tear from his cheek* i still cant believe she's gone.
demi: She may be gone, but she'll never be forgotten.
kev: *more tears start to fall so he wipes it* i'm sorry.
demi: no its okay. you can let it all out in front of me. *she hugs him*
kev: it was all my fault.
demi: *pulls away and looks at him* no, it isnt. why would you think that?
kev: its my fault she left. i should've convinced her to stay.
demi: you did convince her to stay. its not your fault, Kevin. its no one's fault that that plane crashed.
kev: yes, it is. if Danielle hadn't of have showed up at the door all this would never have happened.
demi: dont say that, it isnt true.
kev: *he sits on his bed*
demi: *she follows him and hands him a tissue*
kev: i loved her, Demi.
demi: i know. We all knew that.
kev: I'll never find anyone like her again.
demi: maybe. maybe not. But just because she's gone, that doesnt mean you aren't allowed to love again.
kev: *he doesnt say anything*
demi: when's the funeral?
kev; the day after tomorrow. im not going. i dont think i'll be able to handle it.
demi: you have to.
kev: whats the point of it, anyway?
demi: to say your final goodbyes.
kev: you know what hurts the most?
demi: what?
kev: well, i'll show you but you need to promise not to tell anyone.
demi: i promise.
Kevin digs through his drawer and pulls out a bag with a box in it. Demi opens it and finds a diamond engagement ring.
demi: *she gasps* you were-
kev: *nods* but i guess its too late. i'll have to return that now.
demi: no., i think you should save it for the next lucky girl that comes along.
kev: nah.
demi: save it. i know thats what ashley would have wanted you to do.
kev: okay.
demi: good. now how bout we go get some lunch.
kev: okay. *gets up* and demi?
demi: yeah?
kev: thanks.
demi: no problem.
Demi goes out and Kevin follows her. They take a seat at the table.
Before they all ate, they all joined hands and said a prayer, a prayer for Ashley, and the food.
Mrs.J: okay, everybody. dig in!
They all begin to eat in silence.
nick: you seem in a better mood now, Kevin.
kev: um, yeah. i guess. Joe, your girlfriend is the best.
joe: i know. *he squeezes Demi's hand under the table*
nick: Correction: Fiancee.
demi: *she blushes*
Then Demi's eyes wandered to the framed picture on the wall of herself with Joe, Nick, Selena, Kevin, and Ashley. It was a picture when they all went to the beach, the boys were shirtless and they were in their bikinis. They had a 'stranger' take that picture for them. Nick and Selena were together and so was Kevin and Ashley. But she and Joe hadnt confessed their feelings to each other yet. Boy, they were so YOUNG!, she thought. Then, she thought of how far she and Joe came. Demi now thought of Selena and Nick, they were no longer together. And Ashley was no longer there. Eveything is so messed up, she thought, She thought of how much fun she had with them. Now only she and Joe remain standing, happy. She wanted to fix things, but how? Then, She thought of Ashley. Demi missed her already. She had flashbacks of sleepovers, parties, and them two going shopping together on random Saturdays. Then she remembered when she'd been there when Ashley had her first break-up. They were always there for each other. She felt a sensation of sadness go through her. She held back tears but couldnt take it anymore. She told everyone at the table that she had to go and check on the kids, maybe they needed a diaper change? She went to check on Adam, and his diaper was pooped, she took the baby bag and walked over to Joe's room and put Adam on the bed. Then, she burst into tears.

2) Well, obviously the funeral, and a lot of crying, and I HOPE Selena and Nick get back together.

3) I think it was VERY well written, just sad, but that's how it was supposed to be. U really know how to bring out the emotion in someone.

4) I'm not sure, but returning it wouldn't seem right, and saving it would be, but idk if he should actually give it to someone else. :/
