  • Hey coach, I was wondering how to win over a team with zone defense.Next year my team is going to play with teams that only use zone defense.I have heard that passing can break it, is that true?

  • @ejaypinoy: Absolutely, seal him! The man in the middle is the key to protecting the middle. He probably will not try to step over the top on you, but maintain the position behind. POST HIM UP!!!!

  • @Henhani ball movement forces the zone to shift, making openings for the offense to attack.

  • @supergreenpunk You post him exactly the same way you would if he was your size. Being smaller you probably will be a bit quicker and so use your quickness against him. Use this gauge for how to beat him: If you can feel him on your body attack him with a dribble move; If you cannot feel him "face-up" to the basket and look to shoot it or fake a shot and attack him.
