  • Imagine what a great story the writers might have crafted as an end to the Roger character? Given the history between Holly and Roger. Maureen Garrett would have been great. It would have bought their story/history full circle.

  • i can see now the resemblance between in michael zaslow but back then i did not like cause he came so suddenly. i wish they did not replace, i wish guiding light wasn't afraid. they could have a stroryline that would have ended roger but roger thorpe was a popular character and they thought they could just replace. but it was too soon. And Michael Zaslow did a pheomelally job. I wish they would have treated him better. I glad one life to live hired. I wish I would have seen that.

  • GL was most ill-advised in trying to replace M. Zaslow as Roger Thorpe; however, given the enormity of the task, D. Parlato performed serviceably--aided by the fact that by this point neither Roger nor Holly had any story to speak of anyway. Garrett's Holly was to spend a few more years idling at that booth (or was it a table?) at "Company."

  • Good scene, well acted by Parlato but agreed is just isn't Zaslow. Too bad Dennis didn't come in as another character.

  • This wasn't their final scene. Their final scene was a few days later, at her house.

  • Dennis tried his best, but he could never create the same chemistry the Zaslow version of Roger had with Holly. You just didn't feel the spectrum of emotions that caused Zaslow and Maureen Garret to burn up the TV screen.

  • Michael Zaslow(Roger) did not depart the show he was fired due to illness(which unfortunately was a fatal one for him and his fans) GL tried to get away with Dennis Parlato taking the role and it was a BIG mistake hard as he tried he could never hold a light to Zaslow's - Roger Thorpe

  • When did Zaslow depart the show?

  • The 'music/score' for this scene is overpowering...What were they thinking?

  • Damn Right
