Two commercials for Macross: Do You Remember Love? 1984. "Ai, Oboeteimasuka?" is a great song by Mari Iijima. I still hear this song played at department stores and restaurants in Japan. This was just a test of my video capture ability. Cropped for letterboxing with AverMedia DVD EZ Maker and Cyberlink Power Director.
YouTube wanted to stretch the ratio to make it tall-looking, thinking this is a 4:3 aspect ratio. I just learned about the tag yt:stretch=16:9 for the proper aspect ratio forcing. Thanks to those on the Animenation and Shmups forums who gave advice!
@stevethefishdotnet Other examples of F'd up live-action anime movie is Dragon Ball: evolution, The Last Airbender, Initial D, G.I. Joe: the rise of cobra, and Speed Racer. The only live action anime movie I've seen that was decent was Blood: The last vampire.
I remember at one point a few years back, they had movie plans for Robotech, but then decided to scrap the project.
Are you talking about Space Battleship Yamato? I've yet to see that movie.

@808jspekeg6 So true! Transformers were terrible movies (I didn't bother watching the 2nd one). Macross should remain an anime. Although the Japanese Yamato movie looks interesting. I can't really blame Michael Bay though, since he's figured out how to make money. Appeal to the lowest common denominator and you'll be sure to rake in loads of cash. And gosh, aren't they coming out with an Akira movie starring CAUCASIAN actors? That's ridiculous. Keanu Reeves in a Cowboy Bebop movie? Sheesh.

@kahn1701 Michael Bay would so fuck up the Macross movie just like he did with Transformers.
