  • Cheap Trick playing to a backing track...!!!! Nobody at the mics for the backup vocal parts and the counter melodies...Must be that evil Keyboard player behind those logo scrims....Oh, the things we did in the 80's...!!! And this was years before Milli Vanilli...

  • Actually, not true. No backing tracks here. Steve Walsh of Kansas played keyboards and sang back-up behind the scenes for Cheap Trick during this period.

  • Is this the only live shot of this Cheap Trick movie classic?

  • Believe it or not, I've been going through old VHS tapes that have been sitting in a box for 20 years, and was very surprised when this song came up on one. I forgot how much I liked this song till I saw this. It must have come out somewhere around the "Next Position Please" album. I've never seen another live version of this song. Now if we could find a live version of "Spring Break," that would be something!

  • never saw this before.:.yoU got the rest of this concert dude??

if yeah post it all up!

  • @soul1961 Yes...a live version of "Spring Break" would be very interesting (I'd pay a shiny nickel to hear and see that !!) And while we're on the subject, what about a live version of "Mighty Wings" from Top Gun?? Although CT's soundtrack songs were not always their best work, as a die hard fan, any song between proper album releases was always welcome !!!

  • I was in the audience and a sweat drop from Jon's nose landed on my arm. I bottled it and it is displayed in Cheap Trick shrine.

  • They must have really hated it since it didn't even make the box set they had.

  • The band looks like they just want to get through this as quickly as possible LOL. It's funny there are some songs the fans like, that the band didn't

  • I worked in a video store back when this movie came out. In the evening when few customers were around I'd pop in the tape and FF to the end just to hear the song. The movie was nothing to write home about even for the 80's.

  • I was there when they shot this. It was The Palace in Hollywood.
