If you could upload a high quality video of this somewhere else, you would be a hero.
Otherwise, thanks. This trailer is rare enough as it is, than I'm glad just to be able to see it.

Wow! I can't tell you how long I've been looking for this (I'm assuming a US trailer doesn't exist). Where did you find this? I would love to find a high-quality copy.

@predlycon Yeah Trintignan spoke italian, and said his lines in italian in the movie however, since he is not a native speaker he was dubbed in the italian version by an Italian actor, . But he dubbed himself in the french version.
All the dialogues were post synch, which unable Italian productions to have actors such as De Niro, Lancaster, Eastwood, Delon,Sutherland in their movies.

buh, what a stupid trailer. First few seconds spoil the ending of the film

come viene chiamato il soggetto sembra a? prima, sembra bello.

@pckg21c interesting insights there, man. no wonder anouk aimee sounded so different in "la dolce vita" compared to "un homme et une femme". i can understand the co-productions, but i find it absurd that a producer would pay a foreign actor just for his/her face. so basically they fly to the neighboring country for a shoot, only to be dubbed.
-
@predlycon No, each actor played in his own language and then it was all dubbed. The entire italian version is dubbed in talian. This was very common. Even Dominique Sanda who can speak a little italian is dubbed in italian. In Italy standard italian accent is a rarity and difficult to find, each region has its own accent. So dubbing must keep the original and official italian language accent. It could be weird for you, but very few italians speak a good italian with no accent.
-
@deepenhancer i'm aware of that. but any idea how they learn each language so fast?
-
@predlycon At that time-in 60s and 70s-it was very common. A lot of french-italian cooperation. Many italian actors worked in France and many french actors worked in Italy.
-
@pckg21c i see. i'm wondering coz trintignant is french right? i noticed in a lot of italian movies, there are some french actors involved. i'm surprised they even know the language that sometimes i think they might be dubbed.

did trintignant really speak italian in this film?

Trintignant speaks Italian. An Italian movie at that time made an Italian version and an English version, etc. from dubbing of the actor himself.
