Because his claims were so over the top, it's hard to give credit to any part of his story. However, it is possible that Bernard Purdie overdubbed the drums on this track, more than a year after it was recorded in Germany with Pete Best. If someone could post a vid featuring an original German 45 of this tune, it might settle the issue. Cheers

Wow... Deep Purple's first singer (who was a big fan of the Beatles) sounds almost identical to Tony Sheridan. Is this a coincidence or something?
