  • Still, i think they should toss the sidewalk snow next to buildings as much as possible rather than transporting it and dumping it, which creates more air and ground pollution (as it melts in the spring).

  • This often happens in the middle of the night, and is many times noisier than on this vid. Needless to say, it does wake up many people. A after big snowstorms, they usually work 24 hrs a day for a few days to clear streets and sidewalks.

The snow (& calcium spread on the streets to diminish sliding of cars) now end up in some industrial wasteland in the suburbs. (Before it was dumped directly in the St. Lawrence River...)

  • @francsois Thats not good idea. 1. The snow blowers will be constantly out on the road during the major snow seasons and pile of snows will build up and could be a Hazard to blocking doors, windows fire exits etc. 2. What happens if there were a brick, rock or any hard metirial in the snow and the blower spits it out hitting a car or property window? dont think the council will want to be held responsible.

  • Thank you for your prompt reply an kind information. I've been addicted to snow and Canadian snowblowers so much I'm starting to miss it. Although in Boston I hated it.

  • They dump it in fileds around town. Creating enormous snow/sand/salt mountains that melt till fckn june....

uhg.... I love my country. :S

  • Anbody know where the dump trucks take la neige, river, ocean etc.?
