I think they might be devil rays, and they probably do this to scare their prey away from the edge of the shoal of rays and towards the centre but no one really knows

i think that whether they were flying animals before and still have that instinct but the most obvious explanation would be them feeling attacked and do that as self defense or simply curiosity to know what is beyond the sea? who knows it was like that frogs came out of the water!

they are not happy, they jump because of your presence, this rays jumps when a predator is around :)

it is not a manta, it is mobula ray... mobula ray can jump n they call it FLYING DEVIL FISH...

Scientists don't know why these rays breach like this, though there's lots of speculation. Whatever the reason, it's cute as hell.
