no one needs to reinvent the fan, its a non product that will fail. sorry mr dyson. i have a non dyson hoover from argos and it beats your design and power by miles. i just dont get the hype on these reinvention of good tech.

@dycu I got bad news for you.... This is the principle that makes planes fly. Over 90 percent of an airplanes lift is created by negative pressure on the top of the wing due to Bernoulli's principle of fluid dynamics. I know it seems counter intuitive but because of the shape of an airfoil the air has to travel a greater distance over the top than the bottom within the same time. So the air on top is moving faster. More speed equals decreased pressure. It's still cool how it works though.

now i get it :) thanks! :P

Interesting use of Airfoil and fluid mechanics. Make's me wonder what the pressure difference created by circular blade flow is?

Would it be easier with the ionised air tech
-
@dycu no it will never happen Mr Dyson will never share his flying silet car with masses
-
Too damn noisy, returned it a day later

I wonder if this innovation can be applied to aircraft wingtip. It's will had a supplemental lift to the one aircraft make when flying. If that happen, there will be silent helicopter, flying car, faster and more efficient airplane.

I am a huge fan of these

"I have to turn the fan on... The heat is getting stronger.."
Too bad they can't make audio work on their vidoes.

So very interesting technology.
Great work.
