Sidney Crosby did not embellish Gomez high stick 3/30/08

A lot of people have been complaining that Sidney Crosby is a whiner, and completely embellished the penalty during the Penguins vs. Rangers game on March 30, 2008. However, this is not the case.

Sidney Crosby was clearly hit in the teeth, as this clip shows. The announcers go on later to retract their attack that he embellished the penalty, and give proof that there was a black mark on his mouthpiece from the tape of the hockey stick.

This clip shows the original play, then all the replays, and finally, the announcers comments that they misjudged the situation.

So, please... get over it. You're just jealous because Sidney is not on your team.

even if it didn't hit him in the head, the natural human instinct when a hockey stick is coming for your face is to move it back. he kept skating after, he didn't sell or embellish anything here

Most of the announcers in hockey are Canadian. This is what we do. When someone is successful in the USA they are worshipped and rewarded. In canada we have what is called "tallest flower syndrome" we cut down the tallest flower. Crsoby is the best so we find shit to bitch about Crosby. That and mcguire is a fucking moron! Even if it does hit him in the face, which I can't really tell if it does or not, he jerks his head back like 3 seconds after the stick was anywhere near his face. He for sure embellished, but there has been much worse.

Wow...I'm glad he stopped the diving after his first season because he was making Cole Harbour look bad. He might be a great hockey player, but there are plenty of players in the NHL with more heart.
