Tell me, if you will, about this Comintern thing. My impression is that "communists" (what ever that really means) are automatically opposed to war, war itself, all wars. Thus when the USSR was INVADED by Hitler and , in turn RESORTED TO war (in self defense) they were thus out of step with pacifist notions and thereby discredited. Correct? Not correct?

I further assume that the USSR dominated the Comintern, controlled it and, thus had the power to dissolve it, which they did in 1943.
