Tithing is the financial manifestation of faith! If we believe and trust God with our lives then we should be able to trust God with money and believe that He will provide for us. Please read Matthew 23:23, when Jesus says without neglecting the former he is reminding us that though there are many other standards we need to up hold tithing too remains important. May God continue to bless you as you wrestle in your walk.

Good title for this video. Why tithe?  Isn't that the whole point. Why on earth are you tithing if you are a New Testament believer?

Using Malachi out of context and trying to apply it to new covenant believers is no excuse.

If you don't have faith in God to provide for the needs of your ministry then I would suggest that you get a job. It is a serious thing to fleece the flock. Paul, the great apostle, worked so why can't you?

Malachi was written to Old Testament Levites who were under Law. It was not written to us today.

I'm so tired of hearing false Teachers who are either deceiving or are themselves deceived. They pick and choose which parts of the Bible they like and ignore the parts they don't.

The Tithe was for Levites, Priests, the poor, aliens, and widows in Israel. Only Levites could collect the Tithe. There are no Levites today.

But people teach this the Tithe because they love money, not God.

The Tithe was for the Levites ONLY! (Duet. 14:22-29). If you could not prove that you were a Levite you were considered as defiled (Nehemiah 7:60-65) and could not perform as God's priest. Also there was only ONE PLACE that you could offer these tithes or offerings....... IN JERUSALEM! (Deut. 12:4-14) Most if not all Leaders, avoid these scriptures! Ask yourself ......who changed it if Jesus didn't?

I pray that the people understand the concept of giving and are not being mislead. Churches according to the bible are not allowed to accept tithes in any form because the tithes are for levites in the old testament who had no inheritance.

Will a pastor rob the church? Tithing was not given to the church. Free will offering is. Why can't the pastors just trust God with the free will offerings. I believe God will work on the people's heart if the pastors have faith and tell the truth about tithing. Jesus is coming soon and pastors will have to give an account of these lies. Take time to preach on the coming of the Lord. On how to be ready. Acts 2:38 is still his plan of salvation.

@ebcny Tithing have nothing to do with money! It's clear that seminary has clearly confused church leadership into teaching people a false doctrine of tithing money. Read Leviticus 27:30-31 for what the tithe is and how it can be bought back. Yes, that's correct bought back. Matthew 23:23 is verifying the validity of tithing but it's also ensure that the tithe is the fruit of the tree and the seed of the land. Look carefully @ what is being tithed without taking this verse out of context.
