The average age of an aircraft in the USAF is 18 years. B-52, first flown in 1952, 75 of those are still in service. 100+ KC-135 aircraft, in service for more than fifty years. American aircraft last just fine...

uhh no the F111 has been in service since 1960 the F-15 series is almost anciet and the F-16 is nearing retrment

WOW, this jets are so old but still works perfectly.... I think the russians make their jets to last for about 40 years. If this was an american jet, i bet it won;t work anymore after 10-15 years.

Even after 35 years the mig 21 is still a hot plane,rugged and reliable and super fast. A real threat in it's time
