"Curling: It Rocks!!"

This was something I did for a second-year marketing assignment in college. I was adamant about making a video about whatever my group decided to do, and another group member was a curler, and was adamant about marketing the sport of curling as our product.

I had no idea it would take so much work to do a six-minute video. But I'm glad I did it, because it still makes me laugh.

And the best part is it got a TERRIBLE grade. My worst grade of my life. Screw you, Professor Papadopoulos.

I don't know what part of Scotland that Scottish guy's from, either. The part of Scotland that borders Russia, I guess.

You know, in hindsight, the grade probably would've been better if the Chinese exchange student had done any work at all. I mean, I guess he did all that plagiarizing, because the Chinese apparently have no concept of intellectual property law, but maybe could've prepared for that inevitability a little better.

Oh - I weigh like 30 pounds more in this video than I do now. I was into heavy weights, low reps, and zero cardio. That's how to get big! And slow!

Enjoy!

  • It wasn't *that* bad! It served as a good introduction to curling for my preschool age kid. I'm an occasional curler, and mentioned when he was older he could come with me. Most curling intro videos were way too wordy or made with shaky cams in noisy arenas. Anyway, thanks for sharing!
