@jldraw I understand a different actress played Nancy Lawrence in the original six-show limited run of FAMILY in the spring of 1976. When it returned to the schedule later that year was when the part was recast with Meredith (then) Baxter-Birney. Editorial aside--Bridget loves Bernie? Who knew she really preferred Bernice?

Yeah that is a strange coincidence. Regarding the casting of Cheryl Ladd, Spelling originally cast her for the role of Nancy in "Family" but ended up selecting Meredith Baxter in the end. Years later when Farrah quit CA, Spelling remembered Cheryl from the "Family" audition and asked her to play Kris.
