Removing the paint from car door jams has to be one of the worst jobs to tackle on any project. Here I compare a couple of discs to show you which is the better choice for you, making your job a heck of a lot easier.

  • What size angle grinder and stripping disc should I get? I'm planning on stripping my entire '59 VW Single Cab soon. Thanks for the great video by the way.

  • @BossGuitars ....... I use a 5" angle grinder, and find it to be better than the 4" . Due to the slightly larger disc's

  • Hi like your vids Factory put a coating on the steel to prevent flash rust.

You are removing the coating. It should be put back quickly. Also on the patch panel. AFTERBLAST works well. If you rented a SODA BLASTER it would not remove the orig. coating and saved time, metal, and the coating.

I know you are showing a way anyone can do it with tools most have, just wanted to offer a diffrent way.

Weldable primer on the panel and both sides of the patch before bending is a real good ideal also.

  • Did you get your book completed yet? I buy, repair and resell old Gravely Gardening equipment, and much of it is somewhat to very rusted, and your process of removing rust if very intriguing to me,

    Thanks

    David

  • Thanks for the video ref. to the tank full of water and molases.. I never would have imagined that a feat like this would get the results you got after the preasurized water treatment as a finishing touch. Gilbert-arkinnovators@gmail.com
