Riot police attack peaceful protesters at G20 Climate Camp

Yeah, or, even better....

they COULD just confine themselves to those delightful free speech zones where there will be no risk of trouble, and they can be neither seen nor heard.

But that's kind of not the point of a protest. Unless they are hurting people, using chemical weapons and truncheons on them is unjustified.

watching this, im thinking how spectacular and gruesome a medieval battle must've looked like, where they used sharp weapons instead of batons :p

peaceful protest? Brutality? If I was one of those cops I'd have done worse.
If my eyes serve me right a bunch of civilians parked themselves in the middle of a seemingly large road to blockade it. A peaceful protest should be conducted in a town square or a park, not overnight on a road.
A reminder to any other dumbshits out there: If a group of armoured men come toward you with shields and bats, disperse.

A protest conducted in a park is really not as effective as one that forces people to see you. And if everyone just dispersed when force was used nothing would have progressed since thousands of years ago.

@duane0432 thats what they want you to do.... be scared of them and when the guys come with armor and batons, they want you to run... because the goal is fear... they want you to protest in a park away from publicity because of fear....
