Indeed, they are a fabulous live act! Why aren't these guys in the Hall of Fame yet??? Makes me so mad! Hip Hop makes it before these guys! GRRRRR!!!! How pathetic!

Tom Johnson of the Doobies to me was and will always be the Doobie Brothers. Michael McDonald did have a great voice but to me nothing like Tom Johnson...he was the best and the Doobie Brothers....you go Tom....I truly admire you!.....

@rickspsringfield I'm a longtime DB fan and I'll just say this, compare their solo careers. The following is from Wikipedia: 1978's Minute by Minute spent five weeks at the top of the music charts and dominated several radio formats for the better part of two years and yielded the band's second @1 hit. In other words they had better commercial success with the pen and voice of McDonald. But I did miss the guitar rock of Johnston.
