@rentatrip1 Nick solved that problem, he got rid of the big band and went solo and kept playing his acoustic and thus never lost his tone as other guitarists from his era did. I'm so glad Nick never changed to a damned electric.

notice this is "PRE"- Les Paul - you can'tt hear the guitar , it is 15 inches from the microphone and silent- this is the problem that forced Les Paul to build a homemade amplifier for his guitar ,
