Astronauts Jeff Williams and Nicole Stott train on robotic operations in the virtual reality lab at NASA's Johnson Space Center to support grapple of Japan's cargo transfer vehicle HTV. Nicole Stott captured the HTV in space using Canada's Canadarm2 on the International Space Station on September 17, 2009. Jeff Williams arrives at the International Space Station on October 2, 2009 after launching from Baikonur Cosmosdrome in Kazakhstan.

  • Thanks Canada. Canadarm2 is nice.

    Around 15 years ago, when Japan devised this type of docking method and suggested it, NASA did not agree.

    However, I think that this method can dock more safely.

  • its not a simulator its a planning station by the looks of it. for planning the process. i suggest you get on twitter and ask 1 of the admin channels which post information. they are very helpful generally.

  • the voice at the end looked in sync to me, and I'm watching it with the higher definition setting too.

    Those three bolted down monitors on the top row looked interesting. Is there anything unique about them?
