Step By Step guide on how to make a Suzumiya Haruhi Skirt!
**************************************

Hi, as you can tell, I changed a new method of V-loggin because the cutesy paper cutting videos takes up way too much time =(. I'll still return to that style if I have time but for now.... *drifts off*

I hope this video is comprehensive enough. I apologise for the lousy audio & video quality and hope you enjoy it =)

If you need more details on how to make similar skirts, you can try this tutorial I made here http://blog.yam.com/kaika/article/13214713

Feel free to let me know if you have any queries

(As usual, don't mind my lousy pronunciation and accent and I know I look bad =p )

  • i still don't understand the part on the folding and sewing it together like you showed on 3:36 how does it stay like folded the the drawing you did and like the bottom is folded half bottom but not the top

  • @FandubSongs1 skip to 4:01 , have a drawing there to explain

  • I understand the folding part but when do you sew each side of the skirt together? before or after the band?

  • @sarahrose3x Just do a simple straight stitch to sew the side of the skirt together. Sew them together BEFORE fixing the band

  • @elpheal thanks i was also wondering when you cut the shape of the skirt out, do you use 2 rectangles or would i make the top a bit smaller so it looks like a skirt shape?

  • @sarahrose3x the top a bit smaller :D

  • I don't have words to thank you enough! I have searched for videos, how to make my own TMOHS Haruhi sailor fuku and this is the best I've found! Arigatou gozaimasu! :)

  • I watched this tutorial again and the pleat part keeps confusing me. So, it's just one piece of fabric. And, I fold it to create the pleat?

So, if i fold it to create the pleat, then would I have enough fabric to equal my waist and hip measurements?

  • @megandbreevideos2 cosplaying is dressing up as a character or concept you are a fan of. you can cosplay anywhere! Not just conventions, but any events you think it will be relevant at. Or you can even just cosplay by yourself or with friends for photos or video.

once you decide who you want to dress up as you need to obtain the costume by either buying it from someone/somewhere or making it yourself! What else don't you get? :) I will try explain to you.

  • i wanna cosplay rly badly. i just have never done it before i have no clue wat ur suppose to do. i mean i hears u just walk around at convention? wat about when you dress up how do u put together everything if u go on stage? i dont get it i rly wish someone would guide me.

  • @4pplover101 It doesn't matter how old you are! :) I started cosplaying at like 11 :D.

  • im way to young cosplay :(

  • Thanks!! It's so kawaii!! :3

  • I Love your name ...KAIKA!

  • do you have the written instruction step by step cuz am lost :P LOL

  • Uuh, I got a question .. shall I make the front piece and the back piece the same size, or should the back piece be a bit bigger because of your ass ? xD

Also, approximately how wide should the skirt be at the bottom compared to the waist ? :D

  • @Mr8125917 -.- So you need 80 thumbs up to make the skirt? Why do you make life so difficult?
