Jaguar produced some of the finest sports cars ever manufactured, and this 12 cylinder, four speed manual version XKE is a good example of the breed. Shown to be one of two special order cars with a red leather interior and red lacquer exterior, this unrestored two owner car stands on it's own merit. Having spent it's entire life in Texas, the rust free body is showing paint checking, but is damage free, with one minor ding near the radio antennae. Fresh ignition electronics are in place, carbs recently tweaked and tuned. The ignition box has been upgraded with a Crane Fireball capacitive discharge unit, the brake master cylinder and pads have been recently replaced as well. The air conditioning works very well. The ugly rubber bumper pads have been removed from the uprights, but are present and go with the car at sale. They have been replaced by slightly trimmed series one over riders in front, and series two are present on the rear. This is a very capable driver quality car, and will provide many years of enjoyment along with a constantly appreciating value.
I have a complete "high performance" Gold Head used on my grand fathers 1966 XKE convertible. He has found an extra and I would be willing to sell it ti the highest bidder. Reply if interested.
