(Demi's POV)

A few days passed until Nick and Joe finally made up. It was there longest fight I think they've ever had. They never stay apart for too long, their family is far too close for that to happen, but it was obvious that Nick was in some sort of funk. He was confused about his life and who is important and who is even in it anymore. Or at least that's what he told Joe when they were apologizing to one another on his birthday. Today was the 17th of September and we had all been working hard filming and dancing and just having an amazing time. Today was the day that Joe and I had to do a scene on the rowboat. THE scene. Our kissing scene. I think if we hadn't kissed on his birthday then this would be totally awkward, but hopefully since we had already done it then it wouldn't be too bad.

[A/N: I think it'd be totally rad if their kissing scene in CR2 is in the rowboat. I'd feel soo psychic.]

Joe smirked at me as Clara, my makeup artist was adjusting my face before the first take, his eyes were glimering in the sunlight...they were almost iridescent. "You're so pretty." I told him with a cheeky grin. He rolled his eyes playfully and gave me his most boyish grin.
"Stop it, you're making me blush!" He fake-complained.
"You two are adorable, just date already!" Clara laughed, fixing my eyeshadow.
"Heh." I fake laughed. "That's funny."
"Fine, fine. Whatever you say." Clara said before leaving my side. Joe remained speechless as we piled into the rowboat. We said a few memorized lines and then it was time. THE time. I heard the director call action and Joe's lips formed a slightly crooked smile. But it was beautiful nonetheless. Our bodies grew closer until our faces were almost touching. That's when my nerves got the best of me.
"C-can I have a moment?" I asked the director. He nodded but he didn't look too pleased.
"What's wrong?" Joe asked.
"I..I don't know." I sighed, dropping my shoulders. Joe took my face in the palms of his hands and looked me straight in the eyes.
"Listen, D. It's just you and me, okay? We're Demi and Joe, for Pete's sake. You're my best friend, I'm your best friend. That's all there is to it. Think of that, okay? Just breathe and think of us, don't think about the cameras watching you and everybody embarrassing you. Ignore it all and find a happy place." Suddenly, I couldn't hear anything but the sound of the water gently hitting our rowboat. I forgot about the cameras. I forgot about the director, the producer, the writers, the artists, the cast, everything. I did as Joe told me to do. I thought of all our memories together, I thought of our friendship and how much it meant to me and how it would hurt, and completely tear me apart if it was tarnished. And that was what made this whole awkward situation so much easier. Remembering eachother until our lips met. It was a soft, short and sweet kiss. Just like it was suppose to be.
"And cut!" The director announced. "Wow, only two takes. That was magical." He said to us before averting his attention to other needs. I looked at Joe and gave him a smile. I mouthed 'thank you' and he nodded. Just when I thought he was being all sweet and bestfriendly...he turned our rowboat over.


"Never ever ever ever ever ever get in a row boat with Joe. Ever." I tweeted when we were back in our hotel room. "EVER!" I shouted at Joe who was sitting beside me, twirling a lock of my wet hair around his finger.
