  • @macstermag those cameras are ~4 grand a piece and I'm sure they know a bit better than you about where to position them

  • It's nice, but I hate this huge box at the top, its "camera" or something. Looks so ugly and cheap. Just put it into the frame, like Apple iSight - very elegant solution.

  • I got to go on a field trip to one of Cisco's building in San Jose today and use one of their Telepresence. It was amazing.

  • What's the purpose for running something like this in a business? I simply don't understand when most businesses these days are running a thin client architecture? It kind of seems to be redundant having a virtual room such as this? I can understand the philosophy behind Video Conferencing, but providing a service like this which is so costly seems pointless to me.

    And don't tell me it's just showing off video conferencing, because there seems to be a massive sales pitch behind this video...
