Nancy's husband, Randy, was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and suffered terribly toward the end. This is her plea for Washingtonians to pass I-1000 and allow for future terminally ill individuals to decide how to live the rest of their lives with Washington's Death with Dignity Act passed by voter ballot initiative on November 4, 2008.

  • Thank you for asking! Yes, the Washington I-1000, also known as the Washington Death with Dignity Act, passed in 2008 with 57.82% of voters approving the initiative. The law was implemented in 2009. A poll this year found 70% of Washingtonians have a favorable opinion of their Death with Dignity Act.

    Thanks,

    Melissa
