sorry to correct but this was offcourse not mike's first film music it was the exorsist, but with the exorcist his friend owner of Virgin Records Richard Branson used the music Tubularbells without the permission of mike, and with the movie the killing fields mike completely gave his permission and worked with the crew.
Mike didn't even liked the excorcist :)

Saw that film again last week in German TV. This period of dominance of the Khmer Rouge was a horrible part of the Cambodian history. And it was also Mike Oldfield`s first film music. He arranged it with Eberhard Schoener, a famous german conductor.
Great music and a scaring movie also.
