LOL I love your husband, "You went to the hairdresser?" Great video! Very down to earth and real!

ok, so, if you mix 1 tblsp. of baking soda with 1 cup of water and 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar to 1 cup of water, it is less time consuming and labor intensive. It still works without the pasty application. my hair has grown 6 inches in 6 months and im a dude.

I tried washing mine like this but with apple cider vinegar the first time today and I loved it. Your reaction was what I was thinking when I did it. Did you blow dry or air dry? Just wondering.

@CountessMommy Yeah, it was a bit of an experiment. I air dried it. Never take the time to blow dry.

Are you from Eugene Oregon?

@sirtomgravel No, though I've visited and shot a few interviews there. I now live in Barcelona, Spain, but am originally from Northern California.

I've been doing this for 2 weeks. I add a drop or two of lilac oil to the baking soda. My hair is really clean with no build-up at all. I have superfine hair and now it has a lot of body. I make the shampoo and rinse before I go to bed and put it in the shower. I'm never spending money on shampoo again! Thank you for this video :)

@duran66 I don't think there's an exact formula for this stuff. My friend swears by Dr. Bronners & that left my hair sticky. When I stopped using conventional shampoo my hair was a lot stickier. Then it adjusted. I now only shampoo once a week & seems to work. I don't understand the chemistry, but somehow I've sorted out a balance for my hair, but that all changes when I change states/countries and hard/soft water. Idaho is still my favorite state for washing my hair.
