The Jena 6 committed a violent racist crime and must be punished accordingly under the law for justice to prevail.
A symbolic hanging of a noose is freedom of speech and protected by the first ammendment.
Just because you disagree with the message, does not justify the racist violence of the Jena 6. Blacks are in greater danger by criminals gangs toting crack and guns in their own community than a symbolic hanging of a noose will ever be.

wonderful coverage. CNN estimated 60,000 in Jena alone, and nearly 75 buses were turned away by state troopers when they tried to leave the rally in Alexandria (about 40 miles from Jena) and join in the Jena demonstration. As a white woman, the news media all wanted a statement from me on why on earth this affects me. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere!
