@blinkzone Where did you hear that phrase? This video cuts off that part of the scene (crowds chanting "the whole world is watching...", and Nixon's plans to bomb Cambodia.) The editing between that speech and the followup is quite good and a shame it was left out of this video.

Oliver Stone at his best. The editing and use of archive footage is brilliant.
It should be noted, if it hasn't been already, that this is actually three different speeches (or more) edited together. But it does a great job of showing how and why Nixon won in 1968 - he was able to convince Americans that he was the man to unite the country after a decade of horrible strife.

Your really going to compare these two as the same. 1. Did Nixon start the war in Vietnam no it was Kennedy. 2. Nixon ended the war in Vietnam Bush started the war. Nixon probrably had a bigger effect when doing policy then Bush did.

I would never compare Nixon to Bush. Nixon actually had to work for a living at one point before his political career, and he had to work to get his presidency and didn't have it handed to him because of who his dad was.
