If you are going to rear catarpillars to maturity, I suggest you keep them separate, there is a disease that turns them into black goop and it is contagious to them. If you plan on doing this in the future, especially great silk moths like the Polyphemis and Luna, please take this precaution because the numbers of Luna moths and other large moths has dropped to the point where they are considered endagered.
