hey the Mac MIni G4 is not an Intel machine, does it run smooth and fast? Can it play dvdmedia file?

If you get the mini as a portable computer, its likley for presentations(powerpoint, keynote). A mini is fine for this, just use a projector on location.

well yeah the point of the mac mini was to get pc users to buy mac and use there keyboard mouse and display

It's not that portable in my opinion. You need to bring a display with you, unplug all the components, bring a keyboard and mouse with you, and the power cord with you. ... or maybe it's the way mine is set up...

Mac mini is portable. Maybe he does actual work on his mini and travels with it. :D

mac min and a cinema displas?? why??? imac 24' 2.8ghz is almost the same price if not cheaper and a much much better computer.

Heey, Ur dutch? Like your setup! I'm getting it myself to only a bit diffrent. I'm getting the Mac Mini and the new Apple LED Cinema Display 24" flat panel. Awsomenes :)

If I where you I would get an iMac which is way more bang for your buck imho.
The mini is being really neglected spec-wise and I wouldn' count on any love from Apple..

Yes :)
At the time I bought the mini for 325€ and the display for 350€. And I didn't regret it for a second. The Cinema Displays are really top notch.

I am getting a Mini in like 10-14 days.... I have a Monitor and I am going to hook up Boston Aucoustics Speakers to the Mini. The DVI-VGA conector/adapter included with the Mini or is that a seperate purchase that I need to make ?? TY
