God loves us so much he gave us free will, only to punish us if we didnt follow the exact rules he set up, LOL. So what was the point of that free will, thats not free will. Its not free if you are punished for it. Thats like saying you can pick whatever car you want, but if you dont pick a Toyota Avensis you will be tortured for ever.

I almost feel sorry for the caller's pain and frustration. You can tell he is scrambling around, struggling desperately to explain away the bible god's "standards".

I'm glad we don't match up to the bible god's "standards". God commanded all the firstborn children to be slaughtered; wiped out all the earth's people in a flood save Noah & family; ordered the slaughter of the Amakalites, condones slavery; says nonbelievers, unruly children, and homosexuals should be stoned to death....and on and on...
