liya kebede is an exception. most africans look really nasty, flip on national geographic occasionally. Also, Africa has many different tribes who are and have been seperated by mountains and distances for many years, these tribes all look very distinct, there is one with a majority of people who are 8 feet tall and up, and one whos women all have massively large buttcheeks.

first of all, africa is an entire continent, and there are lots of ethiopians living on the east coast of the usa and i've never seen one with an elongated neck. neck rings are worn in myanmar, thailand, and south africa.

LOL. No, the point of the project is to not buy NEW plastic for 7 days. To make me more aware of how much plastic I actually use each day. I already have a toothbrush. :) It would be more wasteful to throw it out, than keep it.

So Zadi... you aren't gonna use ur pc or mac, fridge, water bottles, microwave, cleaning products, or any mode of transport other than walking for a week? Sounds damn near impossible.

Yea, the would be absolutely impossible. The challenge is to go 7 full days without buying new plastic. I'm going to post the rules on the site so it's a bit more clear. Even going that long w/o buying stuff that has plastic in it will be tough! We'll see how I do. ;)
