@Libyaforlibyan17feb it depends on how the road is, the size of the load and the distance they travel. But the do make a lot because their job is sooo dangerous and not a lot of people take the risk doing it.

@Truckfan2596 it was like 15 years ago he worked for Trans X (head office was in Winnipeg) he drove up north and drove in ice and snow. But all the loads weren't from trans x he would pick up other companies loads and take it up north but he quit because he said it was getting too dangerous.

But he was given awards from Trans X for being a safe and great driver.

My dad used to be a ice road trucker he would drive from Toronto to Winnipeg and then drive up north.

But now then he stopped and surges driving to Brownsville Texas and Mexico instead and has now opened his own trucking company
