Snow Cave 2009

This video captures the creation and subsequent party at the 16th annual Donner Snow Cave. It was a beautiful (albeit cold) weekend with lots of fun (and beer) had by everyone. Hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it!

Big snow caves rock! Me and some friends on Mt. Washington (Vancouver Island) built one that had two bedrooms, a swoopy-cool sitting room, and a party room that about 12-15 could stand up in. Easy when you've got more than 5 metres of snow to dig in. It was just off a busy run, but as far as I know, no-one found it that wasn't told/shown it. We took most of two months, off and on, to do it. Whaddya do when you're a ski bum, and the snow that day is yawnsome? That was back in '88 or '89.
