Strum Jam on the Thomson's Spirit Lido Deck

Strum Jam.A fantastic band playing music on the Thomson's Cruise Liner the Spirit.
This was the North Cape Explorer cruise in the last week of July and the first of August 2008.
This group had a huge repertoire of songs and played both on deck and in the Horizan's Bar which is located at the top of the ship on Deck 9. Seen in this short snatch of video on the last day of the cruise crossing from Stavanger to Harwich. Sorry for the camera wobble!

Never been on a cruise before. Is it too British though? I.e. Like a giant airplane?

We have been on about a dozen cruises and enjoy the less posh Thomson's boats most. Nothing like a giant plane and we love the fact that Thomson's boats have lots of British working class people like us on them. We have been to places that we never could have done in any other way. We usually wait until a couple of weeks before the cruise leaves and have had some fantastic bargains doing this in the past!

@DAVEHEWITTORGUK Oh ok, I'm not too sure why, but I only want to go on a cruise after seeing Titanic was on the other day =S Not normal lol. There is a ship called Queen Mary 2, looks great, but you say the cheaper ones are better? It that because people are more down to earth etc? lol

@jacksite2007 I am just saying that we have been on several more expensive cruise liners which may have better and newer boats,but we have had the best holidays and value for money on the Thomson's ones. We have found the crew and entertainers to be much more to our liking and as you say down to earth! What suites us may not suite you! Did you keep out of the sea after watching Jaws :-)

Just met the band this week on The Thomson Dream we were on a Carribean Cruise they were fantastic very nice people too !
