Kalapaki Joes Hosts B.J Penn. B.J Penn talks to us about the new UFC gym in Oahu, Hawaii. BJ Penn, born and raised on the Big Island, has been part of the UFC 'ohana for years.A former UFC Lightweight Champion and UFC Welterweight Champion, he is only the second fighter in UFC history to win titles in two different weight classes.

Penn will be on Kauai to support Kalapaki Joe's, as well as to promote the new Penn/UFC Gym in Honolulu, which is slated to open some time in early to mid 2012. This is the first time that the UFC is branding a gym with one of their fighters.

Not only are they building the gym to help perpetuate the sport of mixed martial arts, but also to be a positive force in the community by creating programs specifically geared towards the youth of Hawaii.

Kalapaki Joe's is located in Lihue at Harbor Mall and in Poipu at the Poipu Kai Resort. Known as Kauai's premiere sports bar and grill, Kalapaki Joe's has an extensive menu catering to families, great happy hour specials and hosts a number of special events including celebrity appearances.
