This is an amazing piece of history. Her presentation wasmore like a class lecture instead of the expected scripted introduction. What a wonderful record. Thank you so much for sharing this.

"...and happy hearts to all of you." such a gracious expression and wish. She really was class and beauty, and very very smart.

can someone do a translation into Italian of what she says?
can someone give a brief summary of what she says in English? Please do not understand English very well

Hey is it possible to upload a version with the movie clips added in? I've seen the whole film on netflicks, but I'd sort of like to put this interview in context of the parts she discusses and its a little out of context. thanks!

I love Gloria Swanson! Any chance you can get the footage of Queen Kelly from this show? Maybe it can be found in archive.org?

This is great. Where did you find it? Sadly there were many things like this locally in the 50s & 60s. I'm sure most if not all are lost (I remember Francis X Bushman introducing Ben-Hur). This is great. Brings back many memories of long conversations with her & Bill.

It amazes me that it still exists. Let me ask you this. About 2 or 3 years ago when I first discovered YT, there was a 10 minute excerpt of Gloria performing her own musical version of Sunset Blvd. from the 1950's. I think it may have been from a Steve Allen show. It was amazing. But eventually yanked from YT. Have you seen it?

No I haven't seen it :( I would have loved to see that!! I only heard some short audio of one of the songs she performed in "Boulevard", the musical version of SB, but I have never watched the video you mentioned.
