Intro to Dialectics from the film Half Nelson (2006)

Clips from the movie "Half Nelson" that beautifully explain dialectics, a simple theory that explains how change happens. The teacher applies it to social justice, but can be used to explain change in any context.

Basically, its broken down into three components:
1) Every thing (every object and every process) is made of opposing forces/opposing sides.

2) Gradual changes lead to turning points, where one opposite overcomes the other.

3) Change moves in spirals, not circles.
