Switch your cat to canned food, don't feed dry kibble. Also, mix in little plain canned pumkin into the food to add fibre. 1 or two teaspoons per small can. provide fresh cold water at all times, and clean out the litter box frequently to check for treasures. Don't give mineral oil - it can cause respiratory problems. Cat grass grown in a pot in the house is also good for cat to nosh on.

I have a male siamese cat (11 years ol) just like yours, and gets constipated almost every 6 months. The first time I took him to the Vet. the second time I put on a latex globe and graved a suppository for children, and inserted it in his anus. of course I hold the cat with the other hand. After les than one minute it worked. Remember the suppository was not the ones for adults, it was for childrens but worked with my cat.
