Rock Church views On Gay Marriage featuring Mike Clark

Channel 10 news came to the Rock to broadcast the Rock churches views on a marriage that should be between a man and a women. Our band was playing that day so we ended up making it on the news. So many people asked me if I saw myself on the news and i didn't so I contacted channel 10 and they were very generous to send me a copy of the broadcast for free.

I am not a bigot and do not believe in any form of discrimination against sexual orientation so I must do the Christian thing and obey the Golden Rule, thus I shall vote NO on 8! My ego is not so big that I feel i have an exclusive right to marry who I love and a gay person does not. I could not be that selfish. Because I am a Christian I cannot discriminate, I do not want my conscience calling me a hypocrite and bigot.

Therefore I must vote No on 8! It is because I love and do not hate.

We love, we do not hate,Just because we speak truth out of the Bible does not mean we hate. Who gave you the right to marry in the first place? God did. This is not about Ego friend this is about Gods ultimate love and example of His perfect design through marriage.  I am not sure where you got your "Golden rule" but if it's from the bible which I am assuming that it is then read the whole bible. It speaks clearly of this.sin is sin regardless of what Kind. God calls us all to repent.

So according to the Rock Church, God said it is not okay that two loving people of the same sex joining together in a legal union but it is okay to put giant holes in your ear lobes and modify your skin with drawings? To modify the body which he had so graciously given you? Wait... which is more unnatural?

interdependentful is right. Marriage never came from the Christian God, it existed long before that and was even acceptable for long period of times in "modern past civilizations"

Marriage was around thousands of years waaaayyy before the biblical "God" in dozens of fabulous religions and cultures across the planet. Lots of happy peeps gettin married without any need for "God's" approval. You're statement is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S! And most importantly, Mike, what about the many other archaic "sins" in the bible. Do YOU actually abide by ALL of THEM? Me thinks not.

For example: Do not wear clothes of mixed fibers, Do not shave your beard (<-- NO, you definitely failed on that one, Sinner!), Stone adulterers. Read the WHOLE bible, Mikey. It's ALL in there! Marriage is a human RIGHT not a heterosexual PRIVILEGE!

My God doesn't hate. He loves me even though I'm gay. He wants me to be happy. He wants me to marry someone who loves me and cares for me. It doesn't matter what gender they are.
