At last months NAVA down at Digital Press, we got to interview James Rolfe (AKA: The Angry Video Game Nerd).

James is fuckin' awesome. However, just about every interview video I"ve seen with him, he seems very shy/uncomfortable during the interview. He has said himself that without a script, hes a very boring guy...lol. Gotta admire that kind of honesty.

wow some people are very cruel, the interviewer looks like a cool guy, and yes maybe he's a little nervous and overexcited, but come on, he's just a fan and it's cool that he was able to pull an interview with the avgn

i don't blame him being nervous, but it pisses me off that peoeple think he can be the only games reviewer.

There are professions in the world that have tons of people like comedians etc, just because lots of people do it doesn't mean they copy eachother.. each one would have to be a blatant copy, and that is simply not true.

if someone wanted to review games in a similar fashion today people would just call that person a dumbass copycat.. what a lame world we live in.

It's hilarious to see these two nerds (the interviewer and the camera man, I mean) absolutely gush over Rolfe.

Though if I had been in their place, I don't think I could've contained myself half as well as they did.

James Rolf is a lot nicer guy in person.

The AVGN is usually just an a**hole, like when he s**t in those kids bag of Halloween candy in the Halloween review. Please don't start going on about, "He's like that because..." yada yada yada. I KNOW. The point is James is apparently a really nice guy. AVGN is usually a d*ck.

But that's not to say that he's not funny as hell.

Standing next to the chubby one you realize that james isnt really a nerd, hes just a great entertainer and avgn is just a persona. The chubby one is a real nerd however.

@MajinVegeto89 I know what you mean. The fact that people are that cruel is what kept me and my friends back from establishing ourselves on the Internet. Because no matter how hard we work, someone is just going to compare us to the big guys like AVGN, the Nostalgic Critic, and so on. We only ended up making a few videos. And I personally only made about 6 on my old account.

Who wouldn't be nervous and excited around James if they got a chance to interview him AND actually be a real fan? If I shot an interview with him, you'd just be seeing me shitting my pants and forgetting what I wanted to ask him. This guy eventually got comfortable an kept his cool all along the way and asked him some pretty good questions

@fab003003 people on the internet are usually cruel. its just so easy and simple to sit behind a screen and talk shit about people. especially people who are somewhat socially awkward gotta be prepared to take a lot of shit on the internet because there seems to be no room for them at all.
