I know it sounds morbid. But it seemed to me there was so much tenderness and love in this final scene. He killed her, because he didn't want her to suffer and she accepted it. She trusted him and she accepted the death from his hands. This scene was so powerful to me. I know it sounds strange, but for me it was full of love and mercy.

@Drkanivalos in the mathematics community, she is also a mathematician. Pluto was also a philosopher, as well as a mathematician.

@teddythebenny Actually she was a philosopher.

the scene if filled with so much symbolism.. love that destroys, and a circle, the soul of mathematics, the foundation of our world.. a gate way to infinity, even in death.

@Drkanivalos history = his story. She was renowned for many things, but not really her mathematics..

they slice her alive inside the church.they cut her legs and hands until she died. she didn't had a Hollywood death.read history people.
This is a movie where everybody should awake. No one needs religions if they want to believe in God and for this argument, look how many crimes hve been comited in "the name of the Lord" along the history (womens, children butchered)
